The Valley’s Own Piece of Paradise
Lake Milton Commons Offers the Best in Recreational Living
April 20, 2007, (LAKE MILTON, OH.) – Nestled just off route 76 east of Youngstown and minutes from the daily grind of city life, lies one of the Valley’s biggest kept secrets. It’s Lake Milton, an all-sports recreational lake that captures the essence of vacation living like nothing else in the Valley.
Lake Milton is a sparkling jewel that reflects the best in what resort living is all about. With all you could ask for in boating, swimming, and fishing, Lake Milton provides valley residents with everything they could want in a state park – and the best thing about it, its right here in our own back-yard. With over 1,000 acres of land and 1,500 acres of water, Lake Milton is a vacationer’s dream. No one recognizes that more than Mike Meloy, owner of Lake Milton Common’s, a condominium development that sits right on the shores of the lake.
“When I first came across Lake Milton Common’s, I couldn’t believe that this opportunity existed, especially with the condo’s being right on the shoreline,” says Meloy, who is also a resident in the development. “If you like luxury style condo’s and resort style living, then Lake Milton Common’s is a great place to call home. Without a doubt, Lake Milton is one of the Valley’s best kept secrets.”
With unlimited horse power on boats allowed on the lake and an abundance of game fish, Lake Milton is a popular hangout with fisherman, both young and old. On any given spring or summer day, you can see anglers catch their fill of many different fish species. The ODNR (Ohio Department of Natural Resources) has stocked the lake with everything from walleye and bluegill, to largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. The lake has also re-established its reputation as being hot-bed for Muskie.
In addition to being a popular fishing destination, Lake Milton is also becoming a popular spot for hiking, biking, and swimming. It is also a well-known destination for snow mobilers and cross-country skiers in the winter months. According to Meloy, the lake has something to offer for everyone.
“There’s nothing like living on the water, whether it’s in the spring, summer or winter time,” says Meloy, who owns 12 condominium units in Lake Milton Commons on Bay Shore inside the park. “The spectacular views, the warm breezes, and the lazy weekends are second to none. And oh yeah, the luxury style condos are pretty nice too.”
With more than 30 miles of shoreline, Lake Milton has become a popular destination for recreationers of all types. Although the area is becoming a popular spot for tourists during all seasons, the summer months of June, July and August entertain the most visitors. Lake Milton is located in Northeast Ohio near the intersection of Ohio Turnpike / I-80 and I-76. From Akron, visitors can take I-76 East to Route 225. From Cleveland or Columbus, they can take I-80 to I-76, to Route 225. Lake Milton Commons is located on the east side of the lake. There are still units available – to see them visit Lmcommons.com.
