The Scent of Something Good
National TV Show, Private Bow Line Fuel Growth for Local Company

FEBRUARY 21, 2007 (CORTLAND, OH) – Fueled by a hit television show and the launch of a private bow line, DOC’S Deer Scents experienced record growth this past year. The Cortland, Ohio company is a developer and manufacturer of big game animal scents.

Introduced in 1998, DOC’S Deer Scents was developed by Keith “DOC” Ainsley to provide hunters with the highest quality, freshest animal scents in order to improve the results of their hunt. The technologically advanced scent helps hunters blend in to the natural environment of the outdoors, allowing them to get closer to their game.

The idea proved to be a success right from the start. Hunters from around the Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas came to love and rely on DOC’S Deer Scents. Hunters saw an increase in the number of big game animals they encountered and they soon became hooked. The state-of-the-art compound bows were developed and named after DOC’S world renowned deer scent products including: The Devastator, Sweet Demise and Extreme Heat®. The bows have the #1 retained speed/energy at 40 yards down range in the industry. They are more precise and accurate than most commercial bows, and have been highly received by expert tradesman in the industry. They have also received many accolades from industry trade publications.

Due to the confusion associated with varying IBO (International Bowhunting Organization) speeds, DOC has developed a new industry standard called “DOC’S Speed.” This new speed rating utilizes an actual 425 grain hunting arrow to record speeds that are informative to bowhunters in relation to knowing true arrow speed.
